On Sept. 27, the Criterion Collection will also release the cycle on DVD and Blu-ray. "
Krzysztof Kieslowski (1941-1996) is Poland’s best-known master director, a compassionate teller of humanist stories during Poland’s communist period. 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of Kieslowski’s passing, but also an important year for his fans, as the director’s 10-part television masterpiece THE DECALOGUE will finally be available in a digitally restored version later in the fall. To mark this, AFS, in partnership with the Austin Polish Film Festival, will exhibit the full digital restoration of THE DECALOGUE (on a new DCP print), two episodes each week. We’ll also feature another Kieslowski extended work, THREE COLORS: BLUE, WHITE & RED, a French feature trilogy that he intended to be experienced as a single piece. These films are Kieslowski's final works as a director, completed just a few years before his death in 1996. BLUE, WHITE & RED will each be exhibited on a 35mm print.

Door No. 4 is a local event startup and this Saturday, September 19th, is putting on an immersive cinema experience based on a classic western film.
The event will take place at Star Hill Ranch, where attendees will spend the afternoon before the screening exploring an interactive world. There will be a saloon, saloon girls, multiple live music performances, two-stepping, gambling, whiskey, beer, BBQ, duels, and reenactments of scenes, all to replicate the world of the film! At the end of it all, guests will sit down to enjoy an outdoor screening of the film. The movie is currently a secret, although savvy film lovers may be able to piece together clues on social media and guess the film before the event.
