November 8 - 11 & November 18, 2018
One of the festival highlights is the Polish submissions to Oscars 2019, Cold War, a passionate love story between a man and a woman who meet in the ruins of post-war Poland. With vastly different backgrounds and temperaments, they are fatefully mismatched and yet condemned to each other.
The Austin Polish Film Festival (APFF) has been celebrating Polish cinematic and poster arts since 2006. Once a year in the Fall, we present award winning works in many different genres by both accomplished and starting filmmakers. Our guests include directors, actors, screenwriters, producers. Since 2015, APFF has been hosting an international short film competition open to independent filmmakers from around the world. Traditionally, a Polish poster art exhibit is an integral part of the festival events. Often, the audience of the festival benefits from historical introductions by invited out of town guests or scholars from local academic centers.
All festival films have English subtitles and all presentations are in English so our international audience can enjoy them.

The Official Festival Poster Is Here!
We are super excited to announce that the official festival poster for the APFF 2018
is designed by Ryszard Kaja.
During the festival, we will present a poster art exhibit of Kaja's wonderful work from the series "Poland" in honor of the centenial celebrations of Poland's regained independence.
