We love posters! This year, students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and from the University of Silesia Art Institute in Cieszyn have submitted their designs to compete for the official poster of the APFF 2017.
The official festival poster has been chosen. The winning entry is by Szymon Wajner.
Szymon Wajner graduated with honors from the vocational school in Raciborz where he studied fine arts education with a major in graphic design and creativity in the visual arts. Currently, he is a graduate student at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn working toward his Masters Degree in graphic design and art education. In 2015, Szymon won first place in the international competition at the First Biennale of Small Graphic Art Forms in Rybinik. In 2017, his work was accepted to the First International Triennale of Graphic Arts in Cieszyn, Poland. He has participated in numerous group exhibits.
Here is what Szymon wrote us about himself: “I constantly work to improve myself. I started drawing the moment I got my very first pair of eye glasses and have been making art almost all my life. I hope to make a living from my creative artistic work alone.”
We are happy to present his entry to the APFF poster competition as the official APFF 2017 poster. We wish him best of luck in his creative endeavors.
