brought to Austin award-winning feature films, short narratives, documentaries, animations, and children films. The audience enjoyed meeting director Feliks Falk, actor Andrzej Chyra, graphic artist Rafal Olbinski, composer Ludek Drizhal, and musicians Aaron Frescas, Spencer Gibb, and Kaisi Painter.
Austin Polish Film Festival has been working closely with festivals in Houston, Rochester, Toronto, has cooperated with the Chicago Polish Film Festival, and has enjoyed a valuable local cooperation and support from the Austin Film Society, American Institute of Graphic Arts, the City of Austin, the University of Texas at Austin, and many wonderful volunteers.
Recognized by the Polish Film Institute and the Association of Polish Filmmakers as a unique organization, the Austin Polish Society, the festival's organizer, is expanding knowledge of Polish arts and culture in Texas also through the presentations of award-winning Polish films at monthly free screenings, art exhibits, concerts, and celebrations of Polish traditions.
